Welcome Back Preschoolers!

This Sunday, August 2nd, preschool classes will begin at Meadow Grove at 9:00 and 10:30. While we are excited the process to get back to normal has begun, we want to encourage you to do what you feel is best for your family. In addition to our normal cleaning, safety and security measures, new procedures have been implemented in order to best protect the health of everyone in our preschool ministry.

 

You should not come into the building if…

1. You have a fever of 100 degrees or higher. 

2. You have a runny nose.

3. You have any respiratory infections, or have had a cough, sore throat, sneezing regularly, had shortness of breath, vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours.

4. In the previous 14 days, you have had any contact with a confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19; are under investigation for Covid-19 or are ill experiencing a respiratory illness.

 

Upon Arrival:

1. Please be able to answer no to the questions above for you and your family. Adults will need to check their temperature, wear a mask and sanitize hands before entering the preschool department. 

2. Only one adult per family will be allowed to enter the preschool. No older siblings.

3. Please be mindful of social distancing recommendations.

4. Please fill out a security sticker for your child and include your cell phone number.

5. Our hallway will be one-way only. You will exit a wooden door at the end of the hall.

 

Guidelines:

1. Preschoolers can only stay for ONE HOUR OF SUNDAY SCHOOL which is different from before. Your preschooler will attend class while you are in worship as classes are not currently offered for adults.

2. Please be patient in regards to your child’s classroom placement. We are working hard to figure out who all is coming back to teach and which rooms need to be staffed. The effects of Covid-19 has had an impact on our teachers and some need additional time before they return.

3. Drop off and pick up times will need to be strictly adhered to in order to help maintain a clean and healthy environment. Please note the following depending on your service:

   1. 9:00 Worship—Drop off begins at 8:45 with pick up as soon as service ends.

   2. 10:30 Worship—Drop begins at 10:15 with pick up as soon as service ends.

4. Snacks and drinks WILL NOT be served. Our children are not used to this…please plan ahead by providing a snack for your child in the car on the way or on the drive home.

5. Many items have been removed from your child’s classroom. Supplies will not be shared and other items used will be disinfected after use or discarded. 

6. We need to minimize sharing and spreading germs. Talk with your children about how to do this.

7. Minimize what your child brings from home if at all possible.

8. Please encourage your children to use the restroom before arrival. Restrooms will be available but this will help minimize cleaning. 

9. The playground WILL NOT be available as it is impossible to clean and maintain distance.

10. Parents will be contacted immediately if a child displays any symptoms of illness. Please contact us if you or your child experiences any symptoms of illness after you leave. 

 

While some things will be different this Sunday, many things will remain the same. As always…your children will hear God’s Word, know that He loves them, and learn how to love others in His name.  We are committed to doing everything possible to make your child’s experience at Meadow Grove safe.
